Babies with Brain Injuries – Actualizing Their Highest Potential I

Vijay Murthy interviews warrior dad Dr. Aarvind Bagade, physician and doctor of Ayurveda, who refused to accept the devastating prognosis pediatricians gave him for his baby daughter born with severe brain damage. Dr. Aarvind and his wife, Dr. Vinaya first used an Ayurvedic preparation to successfully reduce her severe seizures. They then found and followed the instructions of Glenn Doman’s book What to do About Your Brain-Injured Child, founder of the Institute for the Achievement of Human Potential in Philadelphia. Believing the Institute’s message that parents are the best therapists, him and his wife applied the methods outlined in the book and saw their baby, previously blind and not responding to stimuli, start to develop.
